Water Quality Calibration

Modeling chemical concentrations in water requires values for the pipe Bulk Reaction and Wall Reaction Rates. Default values may be used, but if chemical concentration data are available over time, they can be used to calibrate the Bulk and Wall Reaction Rates, resulting in a greater level of predictive accuracy. This is a Premium Package feature.

During Water Quality Calibration, pipes are divided into two or more groups. These groups can be assigned distinct reaction rates in the calibration process. In addition, an overall default rate can be defined for any pipes not included in the calibration process.
