1.7 Figure 1.16 in the book “Surge Analysis and the Wave Plan Method” shows the propagation of a pressure wave resulting from the instantaneous closure of the valve in a simple pipeline system. Assume that the depth of water in the reservoir is H and the change in pressure due to the instantaneous closure is ΔH. Plot the time vs. pressure variation for at least four wave cycles at the following locations:
a. Immediately upstream of the valve
b. The middle of pipeline.
c. Immediately downstream of the reservoir.
