Release Comparisons

Releases (Interface Products)

KYPipe normally releases a different interface product every even-numbered year, with new and/or upgraded features. These successively-offered interface products are known as Releases, and go by names such as Pipe2016, Pipe2018, Pipe2022, Pipe2024, etc.

Below are links to describe which features are offered by the different Releases.

Releases versus Versions

See this page for the difference between a Release and a Version.

Analysis Engines

Note that an interface product such as Pipe2024 or Pipe2022 is different than an analytical engine, also referred to as analysis engines. The analysis engines include KYPipe, Surge, WIPSAT, TranSurge, Gas, Steam & Super Steam, SWMM, GoFlow and GoPlot. See the preceding links for more general information on analysis engines. Users can pair different interface Release years with different analytical engines to gain the features and capability needed to complete their modeling projects.

Interfaces

A quick note on our two different types of interface, Classic and KYnetic: The Classic Interface was introduced in 2000, and the more modernized KYnetic Interface was released in 2012. To see the difference between the two, click here. While users may work within either interface for almost all of our products, we recommend using the KYnetic Interface wherever possible to take advantage of the updated features, including powerful Group Editing capabilities.
