A0.44 Suppose the pipeline described in the previous questions has five 90° bends along its 300m length, each with a minor loss coefficient of 0.1. Compute the total minor loss associated with all 5 bends. How significant is this minor loss compared to the uncertainty in pressure values at the end of pipeline due to the potential variation in estimated Hazen-William roughness coefficient? At what flow velocity, the minor loss becomes significant compared to the variation in pressure head associated with the uncertainty in roughness coefficient[Answer: Total minor loss = 0.102m]
