G.12 Compute mass moment of inertia of an irregular shaped object (with respect to certain axis s) with a total mass of 215.01 kg and a radius of gyration of 0.375m about the same s-axis.

Solution:

Mass moment of inertia Ism = m Rs2, where m is mass of the object and Rsm is its radius of gyration about s-axis.

Ixm = 215.01 * 0.3752 = 30.235 kg-m2 = 296.6 N-m2
