G.27 The weight moment of inertia of a pump impeller in GD2 format = 1230 kgf-m2. Compute its weight moment of inertia in WR2 format.

Solution:

Weight moment of inertia WR2 in N-m2= Moment of Inertia in GD2 * (9.81 / 4) = 3016.57 N-m2

Mass moment of inertia WR2 in kg-m2= Moment of Inertia in GD2 / 4 = 307.5 kg-m2
