Chapter 2 – Problem 2.11

2.11 A large water utility with 10,000 fire hydrants decides to perform a surge analysis of all its hydrants to arrive at safe operating (i.e., opening) times for each hydrant. Suppose the surge analysis for each hydrant takes an average of 20 min of computer time (10 min to setup the model and process the results, and another 10 min of CPU time for the unsteady flow calculations), how many normal 8-hr workdays are needed to complete the task?
